Share Screen Feature (Previously known as Full Screen View)
Introduction
The Share Screen feature allows you to display the view of a specific application or window from your computer onto one or multiple screens connected through MAWi.
Unlike the older Full Screen View, which shared the entire desktop, this enhanced feature lets you choose exactly which open app or window to broadcast.
How to use the 'Share Screen' feature
1. MAWi detects all active applications and windows currently open on the host computer.
2. You select the specific app or window you want to share.
3. The selected view is streamed to the assigned screens or video wall through a URL that MAWi automatically generates.
-
Copy the generated hyperlink and open it on the remote PC.
(You will be prompted to log in with a username and password that have permission to view that shared application.)
-
After logging in, the selected application or window will appear on the remote PC, showing the live view of what is currently displayed on your host machine.
High-Resolution Screen Sharing for Control Rooms and Operational Hubs
The Share Screen feature now provides real-time, high-resolution viewing of an operator’s selected application or entire screen on a video wall. It can also broadcast the video wall’s view to a remote screen.
This enhancement is especially valuable for control rooms, security centers, and operational hubs that rely on instant visual access to mission-critical applications and dashboards.
How to Use the Share Screen Feature:
-
Install the MAWi Agent on each operator’s desktop in the control room.
-
Connect each MAWi Agent to the MAWi Server. Once connected, the operator’s desktop and any additional screens will appear as extended monitors in the MAWi Management Console.
Right-click the thumbnail of the screen you want to share.
-
Choose the Shared content type: full screen or a specific application.
Adjust the Image Resolution and Refresh Rate as needed.
-
Copy the link provided in the address field.

Create a new playlist in MAWi Link.
The selected operator’s screen will be displayed in real time and in high resolution on the video wall or any remote screen using the playlist.
