Introduction
Congratulations on receiving your MAWi V2 Player and successfully installing the MAWi Link! The final steps are to connect the player to your screen and synchronize it with your MAWi Link software.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process in a few simple steps.
Set up your MAWi Player v2 for MAWi Link
- Unbox the player and connect the HDMI and adapter cables to their respective ports on the player.
- Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to your screen and plug the adapter into a power source.
- Use a network cable to connect the player to your network point.
- Plug a mouse into the player's USB port to control the player.
Note: For optimal performance and faster content transfer, we recommend using a network cable to connect the player to your network.
If a wired connection is not possible, MAWi players can also connect to your network via Wi-Fi.
The initial setup screen will appear on your display.
Choose your preferred language and click the arrow icon to proceed to the next screen.
The next screen will allow you to set the frame size of your display to match that of your screen. If your screen does not require adjustment, we recommend leaving it at 100% and clicking the "Next" icon.
The next screen will allow you to choose the resolution. We recommend leaving the first option selected, as most modern screens support it.
If your player is connected to the network via cable, click the "Next" icon to proceed to the next screen. Otherwise, choose your Wi-Fi hotspot from the list and enter the password if required.
On the next screen, search for and select your current time zone and click on next to complete the setup .
Now all you have to do is to link your player to your MAWI link host.
From the next screen menu, choose the MAWi Link setup, and the app will load.
Enter the IP address of the MAWi Link host. Alternatively, you can choose to use the hostname instead of the IP by clicking the switch on the left.
You don’t need to attach a keyboard for this operation; the virtual keyboard will appear when you click the IP/Hostname field.
Leave the "Default gateway port number" as 60668, unless you selected a different port during the MAWi Link software installation on your PC host.
Select the "ASSIGN" button to procced.
If you selected an HTTPS connection during the MAWi Link software installation, click the "HTTP or SSL" switch, and the port will automatically update to the required one.
If the information was entered correctly, a screen displaying a code will appear. Write this code down and access your MAWi Link PC host to complete the final steps of the player connection.
From the MAWi PC host, access the MAWi control panel, click on the "Dashboard" menu, and select the "Admin Panel" feature.
Select the "Manage System" option, then click on "Connect a New Android Device".
A bar will appear. Enter the code you received from your MAWi player setup in the "Device Code" field, and name your player under "Location Name."
Click the "Connect" button and wait for MAWi Link to synchronize with the player.
Confirm that the player now appears in "Manage System" and that its status shows a green light.
You are now ready to send your content to the screen!
