How to create and publish your content in MAWI Link
Introduction
The MAWi Link solution enables you to set up, create, and publish your content in just a few simple steps.
In this article, we will guide you on how to create playlists for the various types of content you wish to publish.
Creating a new playlist
In MAWi dashboard select the "Create New Playlist" option:
Name your playlist and make sure the Android feature is selected.
Click on the "Add New Item" button, and the playlist popup window will appear.
Content formats compatible with MAWi Link
MAWi Link supports various types of content, including:
Videos, images, PDFs, URLs, PowerPoint presentations, and live web-based content.
This flexibility allows you to create dynamic playlists by mixing and matching different file formats, providing a versatile digital signage solution.
Supported file formats for MAWi Link include:
- Videos: MP4, WEBM, MOV, AVI
- Images: JPEG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, TIF
- Documents: PDF
- PowerPoint: PPT, PPTX, PPS (slides are converted to images or videos)
- URLs: All browser-based content
Upload Videos and Images in MAWi Link
Click on the "browse" button or drag and drop file to upload.
After your file has finished uploading to the server, a content preview will be displayed, along with an option to save it. If you'd like to add more files to the playlist,
click "Add Another" and set the display duration for the first item.

Upload a PowerPoint presentation in MAWi Link
When you upload a PowerPoint presentation, MAWi will automatically convert each slide into an image format or a video.
After conversion, you’ll need to set the display duration for each slide individually.
You can view a preview of each PowerPoint slide within the presentation and set the display time for each slide.
Open a URL using the MAWi Link
The process for creating and uploading playlists with URLs is similar to uploading files.
Instead of selecting a local file, choose "Add URL" and input the desired web address.
This allows you to include web-based content in your playlist for seamless display across your screens.
Upload a PDF file to play in MAWi Link
When uploading your PDF files, you can click on the "Advanced Options" feature to set MAWI to automatically scroll through the document.
Simply select the PDF auto-scroll option and specify the scrolling speed in seconds.
Assign a playlist to a screen
Simply drag and drop your new playlist from the MY PLAYLIST section into your desired screen.
Once the playlist is assigned to your chosen screen, click the play button next to the playlist's name to start playing your content.
