How to Divide Your Screen into Zones Using MAW Chrome Launcher

Dividing a screen into multiple sections, each displaying different content, is a powerful feature of MAWi's MAW Chrome Launcher.
This functionality is ideal for digital signage applications where presenting diverse information simultaneously enhances viewer engagement.
It can also be particularly useful for video wall layouts, allowing you to split one large screen into multiple sub-screens, each showing different content.



How to Divide Your Screen into Zones Using MAWChrome Launcher


To set up screen zoning with MAWChrome Launcher, follow these steps:

  1. Create a New Playlist:

    • Open the MAWi Management Console.

    • Navigate to the Playlists section.

    • Click on "Create New Playlist" and assign a meaningful name to it.

  2. Add a New Item:

    • Within your newly created playlist, click on "Add New Item".

    • Select the "Add URL" tab.

  3. Access the Zoning Options:




    • Click on the blue rectangle icon to access screen division options.

    • You will see predefined layout options for dividing the screen.

    • Select the layout that best fits your content presentation needs.

  4. Assign Content to Each Zone:

    • For each section of the selected layout, enter the specific URL or content you wish to display.

    • This could include web pages, images, videos, or other supported file types.

  5. Save the Configuration:

    • Once all zones have been assigned content, provide a descriptive name for this item.

    • Click "Save" to add the item to your playlist.

  6. Deploy the Playlist:

    • Assign the playlist to the desired display(s) within the MAWi dashboard.

    • Click "Play" to start the playlist.

    • Your screen will now display the divided zones, each showing the assigned content.
