How to Fix the "Network-Related or Instance-Specific Error" When Logging into MAWi
If you encounter the error message "A network-related or instance-specific error occurred..." when logging into MAWi:
Please follow these steps to resolve it:
1. Navigate to:
`C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\150\LocalDB\Binn\Templates`
2. Copy the files named `model.mdf` and `modellog.ldf`.
3. Go to:
`C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server Local DB\Instances\MSSQLLocalDb`
You may need to first navigate to this folder: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config
Then manually proceed to the target folder as described above.
4. Paste the copied files into this folder.
5. Open Task Manager, stop all `IISExpress` processes, and then restart the `MAWi IISExpress Service`.
This should resolve the issue and allow you to log in successfully.
