How to Generate and Send MAWi System Logs: A Technical Support Guide

Step-by-Step Guide to Generating and Submitting MAWi System Logs for Technical Support

Introduction


Should you encounter any problems with the MAWi system during use or initial setup, our technical support team may request system logs. This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to generate and send these logs.



Generating System Logs



Go to Admin Panel -


Select 'Manage System'.

Click on the designated icon to automatically generate the logs, which will then download to your computer.

Email the logs to help@monitorsanywhere.com.



Manually Retrieving Logs from the MAWi System



If you're unable to log in to the MAWi Server, you can manually retrieve the logs from these locations:

1. Server logs:
Navigate to the folder
Notes
C:\Program Files (x86)\Monitors AnyWhere\Web.Server\logs
and zip all logs located there.

2. Agent logs:
Go to:
Notes
C:\Program Files (x86)\Monitors AnyWhere\Desktop.Client
and grab the `log.log` file.




Generating Installation Logs



Access the Run dialog by pressing Start > Run, then enter '%temp%'.



Locate and open the folder that appears.

Create a ZIP file of all files beginning with "MAWi" and email it to our support team at help@monitorsanywhere.com.
